First Day of Preschool

Josiah had his first day of 4-year-old preschool last week.

I know, he looks really old. Heart tug.

Here he is with his buddy Caroline. We switched preschools this year. Caroline was in his class at his old preschool, and we recruited her to come with us to our new one! She wanted him to hold her hand.

Going into class. He's seemed to enjoy it so far. I'm thrilled with the experience so far. His teachers and administrators seem awesome, and the work that's coming home seems like it's challenging and fun. He has several friends from church in his class (which means Mama gets to visit with friends each morning too!).

More Birthday Pictures

This little sidekick sacked out as the first guests were arriving. Being a superhero is exhausting! He slept through the entire party.

Superhero Academy: Part 7

They also had to work on their X-ray vision by playing pin the bat on Batman.

He was upset he missed and wanted to put it in the right spot.

Superhero Academy: Part 6

Leaping over tall buildings with a single bound! We borrowed neighbor Mattie's trampoline for this one. I made a cardboard building for the background, so they could practice their height.

Superhero Academy: Step 5

We use the roller coast for the superheroes to increase their super-speed (flying like Superman or driving a bat car).

Superhero Academy: Step 4

Next we had to foil the plans of the bad guys.
But first we had to fly there.

The kids had to crawl through the Thomas tunnel and remove a stick of Kryptonite (aka glow stick). This activity was not a huge hit. We were losing interest at this point to more fun activities.
