Cotton Candy Is Great!
Gareth spent the day with us last Sunday, and we visited a local church carnival. The boys loved the cotton candy! I just loved watching these two play together all day. Actually, I love that I didn't have to watch them play all day. They're such good buddies that they entertained themselves and didn't fight the entire time.
On a Josiah note, this is the same carnival we went to last year, where Josiah refused to go near the inflatables and was scared by most of it. This year, he hopped on, stumbled a minute on the obstacle course, got back up and enjoyed everyone moment thereafter. He asked to go back on each one again. I'm so proud of how he's matured this year!

Daddy is the Best
Even after a long day at work, and then volunteering at a clinic for the uninsured, Jonathan still comes home and wrestles his boys.
And makes them laugh and laugh.
Micah is crazy about his Dad right now. He regularly chooses Jonathan over me. Today Micah followed him around all the windows of our house watching him mow the grass.

Walking is Fun!
Last Monday, Micah switched from "Walking is an inferior form of transportation. I will occasionally oblige my parents and take a few steps" to "Walking is the BEST! I never want to stop walking!" It's been so cute to watch him toddle around; I've just been fascinated with him going.
I need to catch on video his other new trick: opening the doors in our house! Yikes!

Parker Family Reunion 2011
Labor Day Weekend we traveled to the coast for the Parker Family Reunion. I have such fond memories of visiting with my mom's side of the family, and I'm so happy that my kids have a chance to get to know their cousins too.
Jonathan and Wayne
Josiah had tons of fun swimming with cousin Sydney (second cousins, once removed. in case you were wondering).
Mom and Julie
Micah cheering for himself. He applauds himself quite often.
Enjoying goldfish with Aunt Gail.
Playing cornhole
Our cousin Holly did most of the organizing this year, and she did a tremendous job. She thought of everything. There was a huge inflatable slide, cornhole, crafts, the pool, bubbles, and great food (mostly catered - one less thing for everyone to stress about!).
Marching in a Band
On our way to the Parker family reunion, we got to stop in Wake Forest to see Anna's marching band play. They did a great job!
Anna's friend Natalie.
Jump Around!
We had a fun play date with Davis and Kallie last week. Still enjoying the opportunities to play with my new camera!
They found a poor butterfly with a ripped wing. Davis, in particular, was very interested.
Still preferring crawling in this picture. This picture was Thursday and his switch flipped Monday. He loves walking now. I'll post more later.
Excema + crawling = pain
We got to jump on Mattie's trampoline again. Micah didn't get to jump on it on the party, so this was his first time. He loved it!
Everybody did!
